OTHER ITEMS TO TRAVEL WITH

After forgetting something almost every time I traveled or camped (especially if I was traveling a long way to get there), I finally decided to make a LIST.  With photography, there already is much to bring, but add camping or hiking to the trip and there seems to be quite a bit more.    I'm sharing my list, so perhaps it will help you thing of things to pack:

Electronic Stuff:

  • Mobile battery charge pack (to charge a cell phone)

  • Outlet converter for the car (I use this one)

Hiking/In the Field/Camping

  • Chair (my favorite...can look at stars)

  • Snack food and water

  • Emergency first aid kit

  • Ibuprofen/aspirin

  • Whistle

  • Backpack for day hiking

  • Binoculars

  • Hiking boots/wool socks

  • Sunglasses

  • Plastic bags for trash/compost

  • Camping Stove

  • ZipLock Bags

  • GPS Locator

  • Bug spray

  • Pepper Spray

  • Zip-Lock Bags (3-4)

  • Toilet Paper

  • NOLS Wilderness First Aid Pamphlet

Travel Items:

  • Fix a Flat (tire inflater and sealer)

  • Jumper Cables

  • Paper Map of the area (cell service may be unavailable)

  • Compass

  • National & State Park Passes

  • Pepper Spray

  • Extra water in car

Personal:

  • Hat for shade

  • Sunscreen

  • Raincoat

  • ​Umbrella
