The Geminids - King Meteor Shower
Join me in December for two nights in Big Bend
during the peak of the Geminids Meteor Shower.

This is one of the two best meteor showers of the year!

Expecting around 120 meteors per hour during the peak.

Tentative Schedule
Friday
We will meet on Friday - early afternoon.
We will review camera settings and exposure settings.
We will travel out into the park to shoot on Friday night - practicing our settings and shooting.
We will see some meteors on
Friday night into Saturday morning.


Saturday
We will have a post-processing session on Saturday to
review our camera settings and images.
We will head out late into the night on Saturday night and shoot through Sunday morning.
Meteor shower peaks at 4:00 am on Sunday morning.


My workshops are designed for the beginner to understand the art (and technique) of night photography.
I want you to learn how to work with the light and conditions that are given. We will learn how to light paint using low-level-lighting as well as taking blended shots (blending blue hour landscape with night sky) and how to shoot star trails.

Photoshop: import from Lightroom for advanced editing for Milky Way, including masking, dodge and burning, and luminosity masking.

Photoshop: Layering for Focus Stacking for day or night landscape photography

Photoshop: Layering for exposure blending

Photoshop: Import from Lightroom for stacking (layering) for star trails

Creating and stitching panoramic pictures from Lightroom or Photoshop.

I am also available during the workshop for one-on-one assistance in post-production.
