There's a lot happening in West Texas in the springtime.  Join us as we venture in the desert with some of the darkest skies in the lower United States.

- Camera settings for night photography 

- How to focus at night

- Understanding hyperfocal distance

- How & when to use hyperfocal distance 

- How to photograph star trails

- How to use an intervalometer

- What is focus stacking and how to focus stack

- Using PhotoPills to plan your Milky Way shots

- Using Augmented Reality to plan your photographs

- How to shoot panoramic pictures in landscape photography

- How to light paint foreground objects for landscape photography shots

In the classroom:

- Using Lightroom & Photoshop for post-processing night photography pictures

- Learn how to post-processing in batches (group photos) in Lightroom

- Editing photos in Photoshop for general editing, stacking for star trails, stacking for focus, and creating composite and panoramic pictures.

You will receive handouts to help you along and take notes (people learn better with handouts).

You will also receive:

- "Introduction to Night Photography" ebook upon registering for the workshop

- Handouts for tips in post processing during the workshop

- Videos to help you learn how to post-process our shots and future night shots

7:00 pm - Head out to shoot sunset

8:30 pm - Sunset

9:15 - 10:00 pm - Discuss focusing and night camera settings

10:00 pm - 2:00 am -Break 

2:00 am - Meet to head out to location for Milky Way rise

2:30 - 5:00 am Shooting

5:00 - 7:00 am - Head to second location to shoot sunrise

7:09 am - Sunrise

8:00 - 10:00 - Continue morning photography 

Saturday, May 4th - Sunday, May 5th

1:00 - 4:00 pm - Post Processing Session

6:00 - 7:00 pm - Dinner  (optional)

7:00 pm - Head out to shoot sunset

8:30 pm - Sunset

8:00 -10:00 pm - Shooting

10:00 pm - 2:00 am - Break 

2:00 am - Meet to head out to location for Milky Way rise
